How it started
In the 1950s two separate, independently owned shoe stores opened their doors for business.
Jildor shoes of Long Island, NY and Footnotes of New Jersey
The Bienenfeld family of Jildor shoes and the Hausman family of Footnotes began a buying relationship for their stores. Since 1950 these two families have been buying shoes all over the world. It has carried on through all the years and through 3 generations. In 2014 we launched 275 Central. At first, it was thought of to help our multi-branded businesses look a little different than everybody else by making great shoes that are exclusive to us. Fast forward to now, we have created a footwear brand full of voids in the market place, comfort without neglecting style, and fashion for all ages.
Who we are
Our team has been in the shoe business their entire lives. From successfully owning and running retail stores and E-comm websites to producing, line building, merchandising, buying, and even wholesaling. Our product is made in some of the best factories world-wide. It’s always been and always will be, all about the product and service!
Why we are here
For the past 8 + years, our great customers of Long Island and New Jersey have enjoyed our 275 Central brand. We have decided to expand and reach the rest of the United States. We are so proud of our product and can’t wait until you try 275 Central!
